Daiwa unveiled the new Saltiga Bay Jigging reel at ICAST 2017. Features a hallmark one piece monocoque body. It also includes a one piece threaded side plate, which increases the integrity of the reel and prevents water intrusion. This one piece threaded side plate really comes into play when fighting big fish and high stress is applied to the reel when cranking. Another feature is the hyper digigear design which is tooled with a harder brass. The main shaft is mag sealed for reliability and overall this reel was designed for the offshore angler.
Daiwa Seaborgs feature a mega torque motor consisting of a new aluminium composite housing is designed to maximize the release of heat and keep the motor cool.The new Seaborg employs a redesigned system that allows the user to switch between mega-power mode and mega-speed mode at the touch of a button. The reel also features a new ATD (Automatic Drag Washer). ATD is a combination of seven large carbon washers and uses a new improved drag grease. This grease adjust with the situation, allowing you to forget about whats going on in the reel and concentrating on the fish.
